Claudie Frock

Claudie Frock is an Australian multi-disciplinary artist, creative producer, educator, performer, collaborator, socially-engaged artist and accessibility advocate. Based in Lismore, on the lands of the Widjabul Wia-bul people of the Bundjalung Nation. Claudie has a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours), a Diploma of Education from Southern Cross University and a Certificate II in Auslan (Australian Sign Language). Working from Outpost Studio in Lismore. Exploration of place and connection with nature is a focus of Claudie’s work; how place holds, imbues, and embodies memories and stories that connect communities, of both human and non-human entities.Claudie’s time at the beautiful Watershed Art Studio, was transformative and joyful, providing her with an an opportunity to explore the landscape, plants, natural ecosystems, stories, and colours of Ireland. And broaden her understanding of natural pigments, plant and fungi inks and dyes, through her expanded-drawing, painting, printmaking, soft sculpture, and foraging art practice.
